Many women seek abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, after losing weight or having children, due to abdominal laxity. Dr. El-Attar will evaluate each New Jersey tummy tuck patient to determine the best procedure to help them achieve a flatter, tighter stomach. In some cases where there is simply a small amount of excess fat and the patient's skin is elastic, abdominal liposuction is all that is needed.

A mini tummy tuck may be recommended for patients that are within 10% of their ideal body weight. While a full tummy tuck involves an incision around the navel and across the lower abdomen, a mini tummy tuck leaves the navel intact and requires a smaller incision. Liposuction is sometimes used to remove excess fat before doing a mini tummy tuck.
